Prayer Secret 1 – Your Personal Relationship With God And His Word

This, in my opinion, is the #1 secret for building a strong prayer life because prayer in its simple term is communication with God, literally to God. Before you can have a real conversation, you need to know whom you’re conversing with and the language they understand. God will only understand His word and have bind Himself to His word. So when you pray according to His word which is also His will, He has no choice than to respond to you. He says, Heaven and earth shall pass away but My WORD shall never pass and the same word became flesh and dwelt among us and His name is JESUS. So The Word and God are ONE, thats why Jesus ( being The Word made flesh) said, I and My Father (God) are one. So it’s very important to God intimately and know His Word which also is Will very well and believe it so you can lay a foundation of TRUST.

This particular secret is the first step we will need to take before we can expect to have any kind of major success in our prayer life with God the Father.

Here is the Scripture verse that will give us this first major prayer secret from the Lord:

“IF YOU ABIDE IN ME, AND MY WORDS ABIDE IN YOU, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.” (John 15:7)

Look very, very carefully at this verse to see exactly what Jesus is trying to tell you. He is giving you two powerful pieces of revelation in which to grasp if you want to be able to get God the Father to answer more of your specific prayers.

Establish a Good, Personal Relationship With the Lord

The first part of the first sentence – “If you abide in Me” – is telling us that the very first thing that God is wanting from us in order to be able to properly approach Him for prayer is for you to establish a very strong personal relationship with Him!

Jesus is using the word “abide.” The word abide means to “continue in a state or place, to dwell or endure.”What Jesus wants from us is that we be willing to abide in Him, that we be willing to live in Him. Being willing to abide in Jesus means that we have established a very good, intimate, personal relationship with Him.

The #1 reason God created the human race was for intimate fellowship. God has this incredible love for the human race, and He wants more than anything else that we approach Him and enter into this one-on-one, intimate, personal relationship with Him.

If you really stop and think about this, what is one of the greatest joys that a person can have this side of heaven? What is the one thing that most people long for? What is the one thing that will make you cry when you see this portrayed at the movie theaters?

It is the longing for a personal, intimate, love relationship with a person of the opposite sex, the longing for a true soul mate. Why? Because that one person, more than any other person, is the one person who can really get to know you. It is the one person who can become your best friend. It is the one person who you can tell anything and everything to.

It is the most unique of all human relationships. Some have found this one true love in this life and others have not. Those of you who have found this one true love know exactly what I am talking about. Those of you who have not found this one true love at this time know the longing that you have to find this one special person.

This same longing that we have to meet this one true soulmate is the same longing that God has for all us. Except with God, this longing for us is much more intense. The fact that God would send down His one and only Son to our earth in the flesh to physically die on a cross in order to bring us back to Himself shows us more than anything else how much He really does love all of us.

The best analogy that I can give you on this is the “best friend analogy.” God wants to become your best friend, over your soulmate and over any other best friends you may have in this life. He wants to be #1 in your life and He will not settle for anything less. The Bible says that God the Father is a jealous God, a consuming fire.

Some Christians believe that if they go to church once a week, sing a few songs in church, and pay their tithe, that they are “in relationship” with God. However, God wants more than this. He wants you 7 days of the week, not just one time a week in a church service.

He wants to be able to freely communicate with you 24/7. He wants you to talk with Him just like you would talk to your best friend. He wants dynamic free flowing conversation with you on anything you want to personally discuss with Him, no matter how small or trivial it may seem to you. And He then wants you to be open to listening to anything that He may have to say to you.

What happens to some Christians is that they have not established this kind of close personal relationship with the Lord, and then when a crisis or emergency presents itself, it is already too late to try to get God to answer their prayer.

Notice that Jesus starts the first sentence out with the word “IF.” IF you have established a good, personal relationship with God, THEN you can approach Him with your prayer requests, and THEN He will answer them.

Too many Christians attempt to use God. The only time they ever approach God is when they need something specific from Him. God thus has no natural desire to answer any prayer request they may have because they have never established any kind of true personal relationship with Him.

One of the things I felt like the Holy Spirit has conveyed to me is that if you really want to be able to get God to answer more of your prayers, then you have to create a desire in God to want to answer more of your prayers.

And the #1 way that you create a desire in God to get Him to want to answer more of your prayer requests is by establishing a good, intimate, personal relationship with Him.

The Parent-Child Analogy

The analogy the Holy Spirit gave me to understand all of this was the “Parent-Child Analogy.” Imagine you are the parent and you have two small children. The one boy really loves you. He has established a true, loving, personal relationship with you.

He wants to hang out with you. He comes home from school and tells you everything that happened to him that day. He tells you all the little things that may have gone right or wrong during the day. He values your opinion.

When he gets older and more mature, all of sudden he wants to hear more about you, your life, and your problems. He wants to know more about you, your past, why you do what you do and why you think the way that you do. This child is truly abiding in you, truly living in you. You feel like you and him are “one in spirit.” As you grow older, your personal relationship deepens and keeps getting better and better.

Then you have the other child. He could care less about you and your personality. The only time he will ever approach you is when he needs something specific from you. He will even go as far as to act like he cares about you, but once he gets what he wants from you, he is back to ignoring you until the next time he needs something from you.

As he grows older, you grow farther and farther apart. When he is finally able to leave home on his own, you never hear from him unless he once again needs something specific from you. He hardly ever calls or comes over.

Now if you are the loving father over these two children, which of the two will you have a strong, natural desire to help out when they may need your help on something? You will have no natural desire to help the one who has been using you over all of those years.

However, with the child who has established a true, loving, personal relationship with you, you will bend over backwards to give that child anything and everything that he may need. Why? Because he loves you for you! He does not love you for what you can do for him. He loves you for the person that you are and for the friend that you have become for him over all those years.

In fact, your love for this loving son will be so great, many of the times you will give him what he will need before he will even ask you for it. Why? Because you are so in tune with him, you will know what he will need sometimes before he will even know what he will need.

Then you will want to give it to him before he will even ask you for it because your love for him is so great. You have a very strong natural desire to want to make him happy, all because of the good personal relationship that he has established with you over all those years.

It is the exact same way with God the Father! The only difference is that God doesnt love them any less but He can trust them with anything important. Establish a true, loving, intimate, personal relationship with God the Father and see if your whole life does not do a complete 180! Nothing will touch the heart of God more than you attempting to establish a good, close, personal relationship with Him and to prove to Him that you can be trusted– with you truly wanting Him for who He is, not for what He can do for you by way of material blessings.

Again – as a word of caution – God cannot be tricked or duped.

You cannot try and enter into this kind of personal relationship with God in order to try and get Him to give you all of your wants and desires.

Your motives must be pure!

You enter into a good personal relationship with the Lord because you want to get to know Him personally!

You do not enter into this kind of a personal relationship with Him to see how much He can give you.

You have to want God for who He is – not for what He can do for you. The Bible tells us to seek the face of God – not His hand.

For those of you who have truly established this kind of close, intimate, personal relationship with God, I am sure you can testify that this is truly the greatest experience that anyone of us can have this side of heaven – that this one and only true God in the entire universe can actually make direct contact with you, communicate and talk directly with you, and establish a real, intimate, personal relationship with you.

For those of you who have not really established this kind of close personal relationship with God, the one thing that I can tell you is that there is absolutely nothing to be afraid of.

God will handle and relate to you on the level that you are currently operating at with Him. This kind of intimate personal relationship with the Lord is not built up overnight, but over time.

God can satisfy and meet the deeper longings of your soul and spirit that no human could ever reach! He can truly give you a perfect, pure, and unconditional love that no other person will be able to give you in this life.

He will be able to love you better and deeper than anyone else in your life – including the good natural love that you can get from your parents, your children, your marriage mates, and some of your better friends.

You can totally trust God because He is totally and completely perfect in all of His ways. He will not hurt you or harm you in any way. God has no dark side to His personality, so He is completely trustworthy. He is totally incapable of hurting you in any way.

Some Christians are afraid to go deeper with God in their own personal relationship with Him because they have been terribly hurt in other relationships, whether it be from their parents, their lovers, or some of their friends.

All humans are imperfect and they are thus not capable of giving you any kind of perfect true love.

Since God is completely and totally perfect in His very nature and in all of His ways – then He, and only He, is the only One who can give you that perfect, pure, true, and unconditional love that you are really looking for in this life.

The Bible

Now we come to the second secret that is in the above verse. Note the second part of the first sentence then says, “My words abide in you.” I believe Jesus is telling us two things in this sentence.

His “Words” are literally meaning His Words. If you have established a good, loving, personal relationship with God, then He will talk to you just like you will talk to Him.

And if He is talking to you, then His words will be abiding in you! This will be as a direct result of the free flowing dialogue that you will have with God as a result of having established a close, intimate, personal relationship with Him.

The other meaning to His words abiding in you is that He is referring to the Bible. If you really want to enter into a close personal relationship with God, then you have to be willing to spend some type of regular quality time reading the Bible. The Bible is the only one true source that we have down here on this earth where we can really learn all about God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

When you first enter into a true, personal, love relationship with someone, the very first natural desire you will have is that you will want to get to know everything you can about this person. You will want to know about all of their likes, their dislikes, where they have come from, and what they have been through. And the only way that you can find all of this out about them is by asking a lot of questions.

With God, the #1 way that you will learn all about Him is to read the Bible, because the Bible will tell you everything that you will need to know about Him, His Son Jesus Christ, and His Holy Spirit.

You have to seek after knowledge about the Lord – and the Bible is the #1 main source that we have on this earth that can teach us about God and all of His ways.

Bottom Line

To summarize the revelation in the above Scripture verse in one bottom line statement:

God is looking to establish a close, intimate, personal relationship with each one of us. This is done in two ways:

By establishing a direct, free-flowing, and spontaneous best friend relationship with God where you commune and talk with Him on a regular and frequent basis in the exact same way you would with a best friend.
And by seeking after the knowledge of God – trying to get to know all you can about Him by studying and meditating on what is written in the Holy Bible.

I guarantee you that if you are willing to enter into both of these realms with the Lord, your life will never be the same again. This close, intimate, personal relationship that you can enter into with the Lord will be the door opener that will change the course of your entire life forever. The journey is there for all who are willing to step into it!

May Jesus be praised…. Amen!

A Call For America To Repentance Of The Ninevites

FB_IMG_1544544239621There is so evil in our world and in America and the need of Repentance is so great. As prayer warriors, to stand in the gap and cry out for mercy for America and others, we need to repentance of our contribution of sins in our lives.

The good news is that, God whom alone we have greatly offended calls us by name to repent which shows His willingness to forgive us and heal us and our land. The sins we see in our world, in America are a magnifying reflection of the sins hidden in our lives therefore repentance begins with you and me who are called to intercede. It is written:

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

. Begin with thanksgiving,  praise and adoration to God. Thank Him for everything big or small, good or bad He allows.

. Confess your sins with contrition of heart, renounce all sins and ask for forgiveness.

. Put on the full armour of God or ask The Lord to put them on you from Ephesians 6

Begin to pray;

O Lord, according to Your Word, we enter Your courts with Thanksgiving and Praise.

Most High God, Master and Creator of the Universe, we humbly bow before You and worship You with all of our heart, soul and mind. Like Jesus instructed us, we start this prayer out with Thanksgiving—deeply grateful and thankful that You DO, indeed, hear the prayers of Your children.

The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
~James 5:16

We acknowledge the incredible right and privilege You have given us to walk directly into the Presence of the most Powerful and Effective force in the Universe and BOLDLY ask for assistance.

The devils tremble at this privilege that You have afforded us through the Blood of Jesus Christ. Help us to fully take hold of the extent of this opportunity. Forgive us for the times when we have not utilized this right effectively through lack of Faith.

Lord Most High, we are in dire need of Your assistance. There are forces afoot that would attempt to destroy Your Creation–Forces that seek to steal, kill and destroy Your Church and paralyse the nations. You said that we would have Life and have it more abundantly. You said the gates of Hell would not prevail against your Church. For Your sake, O God, and based on the unfailing promises of Your Holy Word, do not let the forces of Evil and Darkness prevail. We ask that Righteousness, Peace and Joy would abound so Your name would be honored and glorified. We believe that both Israel and America and other “bridal nations” were founded expressly on Your Power in their Law and Constitutions. These types of countries were formed for Your Glory—Providentially placed under Your Covenantal Contract to be shining cities upon a hill whose Beacon Light was to guide freedom-loving people and other nations globally.

We acknowledge our failure in the Body of Christ to live up to our side of the Covenant. We have NOT lived as we should. We have NOT obeyed all of Your commands. We have NOT placed You first in our lives. We confess that our nations are currently on a dangerous pathway towards the idolatry of Human Secularism which seeks to remove You from every aspect of our daily public lives. In doing so, we have not only failed to follow in Christ’s footsteps to help “set the captives free”, but have become captives ourselves to a un-Godly philosophy that will ultimately destroy the very foundations of America and other nations.

O God, we sincerely repent of our personal and national sins. We repent of the sins of omission as well as commission. These sins include idolatry, murder, anger, stubbornness, sodomy, abortion, dishonesty, corruption, greed, sloth, lust, envy, compromise, fear, gluttony, gossip, hypocrisy, impurity, ingratitude, profanity, stealing, unforgiveness, untruthfulness, wordliness, worry and the ultimate sin of Pride. We take no solace in the fact that some of us may not have personally embraced sins such as abortion or marriage redefinition BUT by apathy or indifference have allowed evil to flourish. We have not followed Your Biblical mandate to submit to You, obey Your Holy Commandments and resist the Devil. Nor have we had a zeal to repent which invites You to commune with us, enabling us to become overcomers who will sit with You on Your throne (Rev 3:19-21).

Instead of embracing righteousness we–individually, in our families and in our nations–have performed evil acts. We have fallen short of Your Glory, for which You have cursed our nations with drought and pestilence and have opened our borders to the plunder of foreign armies. Even with obvious signs in the stars, moon, sky and weather, we have not repented and returned our nations to You Lord in corporate repentance. Instead, our leaders have vowed to rebuild our of their own strength thus raising a fist is defiance to Your judgments.

Master, please have mercy on us. We beg for Your grace and mercy. We are undeserving of your mercy but Your Holy Word says you are patient, kind, loving, merciful and longsuffering. Please, because of who YOU are and not because of what WE are—hear our prayer and grant our petition this day. We know You will hear from Heaven and will forgive our sins and heal our lands if we humble ourselves, pray, seek Your Face and turn from our wicked ways.

Then may all the kingdoms of the world truly know that YOU are our God and that we have no other gods but You.

May You get all the glory, honor and praise. May Your Kingdom come quickly and may Your will be done here on Earth as it is in Heaven.

We pray this prayer with great expectancy, looking upwards for our ultimate Salvation when You will return to set things right forever and ever.

WE PRAY THIS PRAYER IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST/YESHUA, THE NAME
ABOVE ALL NAMES, THE KING OF KINGS, AND THE LORD OF LORDS.
~Amen.

The Journey Begins

Thanks for joining me!

Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

Did you know that on this first blog, right in of my screen and with another witness almost like in the days of Babylon when God wrote on the wall, I saw in front of me the topic and picture of my first blog appear out of nowhere? As I looked not knowing what’s happening, I heard Nana screaming, the other witness to this miracle confirming and assuring me that, He’s in this journey and He indeed has called me to this task. Nana continued screaming, “O wow Jessica, this is so like The Lord … He just wants you to start your first blog. He and His Holy Spirit are so with you.”  I still didn’t get it till later it begun to sink in.

As The Lord has titled, the journey has truly begun as He continues to rally and raise warriors He can trust to be faithful, obedient, diligence and of good service to Him and His body just to please Him and bring Him glory. Many in the body of Christ only seek what they can get from Him but those God is raising at this hour are those willing to sell all they have and who they think they are and follow Him with all their hearts. Those who truly understand their purpose of living that we have eternity that awaits us, many souls to save and an account to give of all that was given to us by grace. We ought to live a life that is truly abandoned to Him alone to use it as He sees fit with all the graces He offered us so that, there will be no need to account for anything since we willingly gave it to Him to live it and fill with His desires.

Today, He calls us to come away with Him so He himself will be our trainer and teacher in battle and how to exercise our authority in Christ and claim the victory He has already won for us. God is not pleased when we always have to seek others to pray for us or with us, there’s a time, a place and a purpose for that. He wants us armed and equipped with His word and confident to come before Him ourselves with our petitions and supplications so we will depend on Him alone not on a man.

So the journey here is a call to the ministry of intercession where Jesus and The Holy Spirit operates and you and I are being called to partner with them to bring Heaven to a decaying world. Those who are willing to put their agenda and needs aside and lay their lives for others, nations and leaders and stop satan and his demons from their evil activities. Those who are willing to be hidden from vainglory and the applause of man and will seek the pleasure and joy they bring to their God alone.

What The Lord is wants is that, we share and impact on others what He gives us and that’s what this blog is all about. To share the different kinds of prayers He has taught us, given us, inspired us to pray from His word or His still small voice with those who don’t know how to pray.  No longer should we go about to be prayed for which sets many up as vulnerable to wolves who seeks to devour and destroy them. You too can take these prayers based on His word and go before Him and pray to Him with childlike faith. This becomes a means in which you get to experience God and know Him for yourself so the journey into becoming a prayer warrior, an intercession, a watchman and living a lifestyle of prayer which is closely knitted in union with God has begun.

Let’s grab it with our hearts and with diligence and discipline, faithfulness and humility, allowing God to do with our lives what He wills.

May Jesus be forever praised!!

Prayer To Fight The Good Fight Of Faith

Almighty Father,

Today is a good day to renew our covenant as Christians, and set goals for progress and we ask for grace to be faithful. Almost all talk of battles and wars concerning a Christian life refers to the inner battle that arises when a sinful thought tempts us. Your Holy Spirit and our flesh are at odds. When you have decided to only do God’s will and are being led by the Spirit, a conflict between the flesh and the Spirit arises.(1 Timothy 6:12)

Father, teach us to walk straight ahead on the way of God and refuse to look back like Lot’s wife but continue to say “yes” to Jesus, for He surpasses all knowledge. Help us to forget what lies behind, and earnestly pursue what lies ahead; hasten toward the treasure which is laid up in heaven for us.
(Philippians 3:12-14; Matthew 6:20)
Remind us not love the world or the things in the world, and never covet anything on earth. Pursue those things which are above; the kingdom of heaven consists of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Let Your Spirit O God, leads us into the depths of Your kingdom so that our peace is like a river and our righteousness like the waves of the sea. (1 John 2:15; Colossians 3:1-2; Romans 14:17; Isaiah 48:18)

Never allows us to  resist Your Spirit but always let Him lead and guide us, because He is able to guide us into all truth. (John 16:13) Teach us to embrace suffering and  fiery trials You allow trusting that You are always in control.
for gold is purified in the fire. The fire will not consume you, nor the waters overwhelm you. (1 Peter 1:6-7; Isaiah 43:2)

O merciful father,  help us to seek nourishment for your spiritual life that brings life and peace, since the mind of the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:6) Open our ears wide to the voice of Your Son so we can clearly distinguish the Shepherd’s voice from the voice of the hireling (John 10:11-12,27) and that we will never be satisfied with being somewhat religious outwardly while remaining just as worldly within, to shun such folly and always keep a clear testimony, and never be in league with the world. We must be radical in this, because Christ and Baal, God and the world, can never be united. (2 Corinthians 6:14-17)

We commit to never  be ashamed of the name of Jesus, but profess it boldly; your boldness will increase and your reward will be great. (Romans 1:16) It is written, if you lack wisdom from God, ask for it; He gives willingly and without reproach. Cause us to find joy in wanting to learn of God, spend time with Him, because we become like the one we spend time with. (James 1:5; James 4:8)
Grant us the strength to keep saying “yes” to Jesus, “no” to ourselves, and “no” to the world and that our speech will simply be “yes” and “no,” so we know that anything more than this is of the devil. (Matthew 5:37) Grant us a childlike faith and trust in You to bring us to a true fulfilment of Your plan in our lives in Jesus name. Amen!
“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”
