Spiritual Warfare: Arise, Fight, and Never Give Up!

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” – Ephesians 6:10-12

The Christian life is spiritual warfare.

Many Christians are prone to overlook or minimize this; however, we cannot run away from the fact that we are in a war. The day we decided to become disciples of Christ we declared war against the kingdom of the devil and all his works in our lives and in our communities.

This war is real. We can either decide to fight or be defeated. Many of us are not experiencing any warfare because we have long been defeated and the enemy doesn’t bother us anymore.

The picture Paul used in Ephesians was that of a Roman soldier who needed to be strong and watchful in order to be able to fight well. It is a picture of a soldier who needed to be careful and prepared at all times. Spiritual warfare is about overcoming the enemy, his temptations, and his traps. It is about winning new territories for God.

The reason why spiritual warfare is so important is that prayer is not only about talking to God; it is also about defeating the devil and his evil plans.

The reason why spiritual warfare is so important is that prayer is not only about talking to God; it is also about defeating the devil and his evil plans. The devil has a ministry. His 24/7 ministry is to steal, to kill, and to destroy. The ministry of the devil is to war against the purposes of God in our lives and in our nations. His main calling is to make sure as many people as possible go to hell, including you and me. His mission is make people doubt God.

The Bible is full of accounts of spiritual warfare, starting from Eden and ending at the book of Revelations. The Bible itself is an account of the warfare between the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of light. We as human beings are the objects of this warfare. It is a war for our hearts and our loyalty. We have been given the privilege and power of serving as agents in waging warfare against the devil.

However, we may not be conscious of the spiritual activity going on around us and in our communities and nations. We participate in this warfare through our prayers and witness. Let us look at one of the few examples of warfare in the Bible.

Daniel and Spiritual Warfare

At that time I, Daniel, mourned for three weeks. I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over. On the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was standing on the bank of the great river, the Tigris, I looked up and there before me was a man dressed in linen, with a belt of the finest gold around his waist. His body was like chrysolite, his face like lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and his voice like the sound of a multitude. I, Daniel, was the only one who saw the vision; the men with me did not see it, but such terror overwhelmed them that they fled and hid themselves. So I was left alone, gazing at this great vision; I had no strength left, my face turned deathly pale and I was helpless. Then I heard him speaking, and as I listened to him, I fell into a deep sleep, my face to the ground. A hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees. He said, “Daniel, you who are highly esteemed, consider carefully the words I am about to speak to you, and stand up, for I have now been sent to you.” And when he said this to me, I stood up trembling. Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.” (Daniel 10:2-13)

This is a telling story about prayer and spiritual warfare. Daniel decided to seek God’s face in prayer and fasting. He prayed and fasted for many days; however, no response was coming. On the twenty-first day, the answer came through an angel who told him that the prince of Persia withstood the angel and delayed him. God had given an answer to Daniel from the very first day he started praying. The answer did not get to him until Michael came to help the angel to fight the prince of Persia who was the demonic prince over the kingdom of Persia. What would have happened if Daniel had stopped praying? His prayer brought help.

The devil’s ministry is to foil and destroy everything God is doing on earth. We are on earth, inside the enemy’s kingdom. Do you think the enemy sits down and blesses your work and ministry? No! He is in the business of doing everything possible to stop you. That is his goal. But we are victors because “Greater is he who is in us than he who is in the world!”

Who Are Our Enemies?
Ephesians 6:12 says, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” The Bible clearly says that we are not fighting against human beings, but against:

  • Principalities
  • Powers
  • Rulers of the darkness of this world
  • Spiritual wickedness in high places

The kingdom of the devil is organized. As we saw in the Daniel passage above, there was a demon called the “Prince of Persia.” Likewise, there are demonic princes over continents, nations, cities, and towns. The Bible says it is against them we are fighting. Their work is to make sure that the kingdom of Jesus does not get established in their dominions. Although they are invisible, they are real.

Second Corinthians 10:3-5 says,

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

God has equipped us with spiritual weapons that are capable of:

  • Pulling down spiritual strongholds
  • Casting down evil imaginations
  • Casting down every high thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God
  • Bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

Let us not deceive ourselves into thinking that we can win souls and get people into God’s kingdom without direct confrontation with these demonic forces. This is why prayer is so strategic. Through prayer, we harness the forces of God’s kingdom—his angels—to fight on our behalf.

Mark 3:27 reads, “In fact, no one can enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can rob his house.” Matthew 18:18 adds, “I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

This is one of the weak points of the Church in our generation. We have neglected fighting in prayer for our nations and our people. We easily give up and give in. We pray routine prayers that are dead and that do not make any impact on God’s work.

Radical, Violent, Passionate Prayer
There is something about fighting in prayer that is radical, violent, and passionate. It is a fight, not a joke. Read Matthew 11:12: “From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.”

And God wants us to fight the devil and his demons. God does not give us the weapons of warfare (Ephesians 6:10-16) so we can just dress up and look like soldiers—only to run away when the war starts. He has given us those weapons so we can fight and win. He expects us to win.

  • “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” – James 4:7
  • “Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.” – 1 Peter 5:8-9
  • “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” – Luke 10:19

Some of the key words or phrases in these verses are:

  • Put on the full armor
  • Stand against the devil’s schemes
  • Struggle against principalities and powers
  • Prince of Persia withstood (opposed)
  • Weapons of warfare
  • Bind and loose
  • Take it by force
  • Resist the devil
  • Tread on

We should not be afraid of fighting this war. We are called and equipped to be soldiers of Christ. God has given us everything we need to win; he has assured us of victory, and those who overcome shall reign with Jesus forever. Therefore arise, fight, and never give up.

“The superficial results of many a ministry, the deadness of others, are to be found in the lack of praying. No ministry can succeed without much praying, and this praying must be fundamental, ever-abiding, ever-increasing.” – E.M. Bounds

Signing with the cross

Lord Jesus, I sign my heart with the sign of the cross, reminding myself of your love for each person.I ask that I may grow in faithfulness as your friend. I sign my lips with the sign of the cross, that I may speak as you would speak. I sign my hands with the sign of the cross asking that you enable me to do your work, and be your hands in our world which you love so much.

I sign my eyes with the sign of your cross that I may really see, Lord, and be aware of all that is around me.

I sign my ears with the sign of your cross that I may listen and really hear the communication that comes to me in different ways – from you and from the people you place into my life.

I sign my shoulders, Lord, with your cross, knowing that you call me to carry my own cross each day and support others in the burdens and difficulties that they have.

All that I do today I set out to do in the name of the Father (+) and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Psalm 91 + the 33rd Crusade Prayer

Psalm 91

1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,my God, in whom I trust.”

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling,

10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;

12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

15 He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

The 33rd Crusade Prayer

Oh, my God, Loving Father, I accept with love and gratitude, Your Divine Seal of Protection. Your Divinity encompasses my body and soul for eternity. I bow in humble thanksgiving and offer my deep love and loyalty to You, my beloved Father. I beg You to protect me and my loved ones with this special Seal and I pledge my life to Your service forever and ever. I love You, Dear Father. I console You in these times, Dear Father. I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, in atonement for the sins of the world and for the salvation of all Your Children. Amen

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I want to share with you a little piece of history here, for these two prayers. This came from Jim O’Connor – we’re blessed to have on our channel. During World War I, LTC Whittensley was a Regimental Commander in the British Army. His regiment recited the 91st Psalm every morning. His regiment went over the wall several
times, thousands were killed on this left and right sides, but not one of his soldiers was wounded. It was reported that the German Bullets seemed to bounce off LTC Whittensley’s men.
So, when you find yourselves in a really tight place, and the odds are against you – remember: these prayers are very powerful to deliver us. The Lord bless you.
Prayer For The Conversion Of Witches
The promise is that if we say this prayer once a day for 30 days, a witch will be converted. If not the ones we are praying for, then another will receive the grace.
Pray this for 30 days per person if you know their names. Pray this with a heart of love and forgiveness towards these souls enslaved by satan.
Dearest Jesus, I present to You the souls of all witches, satanists, wizards, occultists (mention their names if you know), who have abandoned their souls to Satan. Please take these souls and redeem them in Your Holy Eyes. Free their souls from slavery to the beast and bring them eternal salvation. Amen.”
Please pray this for 30 consecutive days.
The God of Selfie
received_421939445229900
For some time now, I’ve been bothered about how people including me love and adore themselves when i bumped into people taking selfies. One particular soul, i always feel tempted to comment on her picture of herself but resist the temptation immediately when it comes to mind. Beloved, are we worshippers of God or worshippers of ourselves whereby we constantly have a picture of ourselves that we focus and look at every moment which in effective, leads to comtemplating and meditating on ourselves instead of God. How beautiful we are, smart and intelligent we are and many vain thoughts and ideas of ourselves which puff us up allowing pride to take hold of our souls.
How do you know, love and serve God when we spent every moment He gives us on ourselves heaping sin upon sins with vanity on our souls? We all walk about in this life with fake identity of who we are and it seems normal living in a fake society and being bombarded with fake news. Everything is fake because we live a fake life with a fake identity of ourselves. So we worship, adore, love and work hard to serve a fake God called Self that we enjoy looking at and admiring. FAKE FAKE FAKE!!!
Wake up to the fact that YOU ARE NOTHING cos the truth is you were created out of nothing. We should allow God who is ever creating to be The God of our everything so He can create something out of our nothingness. God can do nothing or create something with the something and the somebody you have created in your own eyes.
Look at Him, take a good look at Jesus to see yourself in Him where you originated from, that’s truly where our identity is, in Him. Scripture says, in Him we live, move and have our beings and that we breath with His own breath and He holds our live together. The God of Selfie has nothing for you, can do nothing for you, can’t save or deliver you in times of trouble so why do you waste God’s time to worship it? Have you forgotten that you must account of these times God gives you. Pray, oh Lord deliver me from self and from self love so i may love you truly and sincerely.
Screen-Shot-2017-02-10-at-2.48.31-PM-695x463@2x
The God of Selfie you projects and love above all things is an empty nothingness of who you are that you refuse to accept, it is only adorned with vanity and empty perishable things which is here today, gone tomorrow. When you spend time taking selfies and misleading others to worship you by wasting their God given time commenting on your vanity, you miss the graces granted you in the place of solitude where you meet God who is pure and holy and meet yourself in total wretchedness and nakedness. Ouch ouch, we can’t bare to see that or touch that cos that’s truth and it’s painful and it’s hurt so we hate to be alone with ourselves where everything within us is lay bare before us and keep deceiving ourselves and seek vanity to cover our nakedness.
But this is the perfect place God wants you and I to be, to yield to Him willingly so with our permission and cooperation, He can make us, create us into something meaningful and useful to Him, to others and to the world He so love.
So dethrone the god of selfie, crucify that self and deny it and place God before your eyes so He can remodel you into His own image. Shall we all begin today by humbling ourselves, turning from our wickedness of serving and worshipping ourselves instead of God, in repentance, let us seek His face and ask for His mercy and His blood to wash us very clean.
May The Eternal God help us all to understand that we can never be God neither can satan, we can never take His place, that He ALONE IS GOD and NO OTHER not you, not me and never will satan ascend to His throne.
He Alone is God…. Hallelujah!!!
The Real Difference Between Believer And Unbeliever
Well, this morning i couldn’t wake up on time to be with Jesus @ our usual time which is 2am. He has been caling me to this hour for quite a while which He initiated last year this time around. And for over 3months, i was seeing and hearing Him and journaling them all down but you know how sometimes He takes away such consolation for His own good reasons. I on the other hand have been lacking in discipline and commitment to this hour so i made a firm decision to begin this morning and I failed badly and overslept.
Not knowing what He was doing behind the scene, I wept in repentance cos i felt like I’m loosing control of my flesh. Preparing to have The Lord’s Supper, I saw a text from my boss at work that early morning, if i could take a day off. I couldn’t understand why He will ask me that so i called him and He said, you can come to work but if you want to take a day off so you can go to church, you can do so. I knew The Lord did that and gave me a whole day to make it up to Him. I’m so grateful to Abba for Jesus, the sweetest of all loves!
So am here alone with Him, talking and listening to Him with the impressions and spontaneous flow of His thoughts in my mind, i find myself thinking of christians and non Christians. Then I heard this in my mind …. He began:
Light-vs-Dark-300x188
Tell them that the real difference between christians who believe in Me and the rest of humanity is that, My christians have accepted Me, they have accepted that they are sinners, they have accepted My forgiveness, they have accepted that they need a saviour and they are limited and that they need grace to help them in doing and also My Mercy for the weakness and the many times they wound Me.
But they still sin and struggle with it, they still rejects, offends, displeased and even betray Me many many times.
Yet they run to Me, their Creator, their Good, their Perfector of all things, their Shepherd to help, lead and guide them to the path in which I, have called them to, and that only I know the way because I am The Way, The Truth and The Life. They strive to walk in My ways and with their good will, I lead them on.
So they are not special than all the rest of humanity, they’re only special, distinguished, set apart because of My grace, and My blood which washes their sins. They are only special because they respond to My grace and Mercy, embrace what I did for all mankind and received My forgiveness. The same grace is available to all men even now, as The world plunges more to darkness, My grace abounds even more yet where are those who will respond to it, apply themselves to cooperate with My grace.
Today, I speak and pleads with all men that you will My voice, the cry of My heart which yearns, cries and bleeds for you to come home to Me, to My Heart which burns like fire for love of you, please dear souls, do not harden your hearts and turn a deaf ear to My voice. Respond to Me, call on Me even if you dont know what to do or what to say. Just call on Me to deliver you, to save you, to have mercy on you and tell Me that, you’re sincerely sorry for your sins and allow Me, with your permission to do the rest.
I love believers and unbelievers alike, the same love, the same blood I shed for them all yet the only difference is that, the latter have embraced Me and keep embracing all that is of Me whilst the former keeps doing the opposite.
I am in distressed because of My lost ones … who will help Me find them. They’ve gone for too long and I dread on those that will never return to Me. For these I suffer much much more, help Me My faithful ones in search of your brothers and sisters and return them home to Me.
That’s the end of His message dear ones!
Prayer Secret – Ask. Seek. Knock.
This next prayer secret gets into the real heart of learning how to properly and effectively pray to the Lord. This revelation is coming direct from Jesus Himself.
I call this particular secret my fighting verse whenever I have to approach God in prayer for something specific. The reason I call this secret my fighting verse is because in this verse are the three main conditions that sometimes must be met before the Lord is going to want to answer any specific prayer request you may have.
Here is the verse where this powerful and profound revelation is being given direct to us by Jesus Himself:
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened … If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (Matthew 7:7-11)
ask-seek-knock
Notice two things:
1.  First, there are three specific conditions that the Lord is laying out – asking, seeking, and knocking.
2.  Second, all three of these conditions are listed in one sentence. These three conditions are being separated by semi-colons, not periods. This means that all three of these conditions are being purposely put together in one sentence in order to try and tell us something.
I remember when I first saw this verse, I wondered why the original translators were using a semi-colon to separate the three conditions instead of using a period. The reason I was wondering this was due to the way the first part of the verse was worded.
If you ask, and then you receive, why would you ever need to seek or knock? Or if you seek, and then you end up finding something, why would you ever need to go to the next condition, which would be some kind of knocking in order to be able to get the door to be opened up for you.
I initially thought these three conditions should be in three, separate, complete sentences so as to isolate and differentiate these three conditions from one another. But after pondering and meditating on this with the Lord, here is what I feel God may be trying to show us with this revelation.
Sometimes all you have to do is ask God for something and He will then answer the prayer. You thus will not have to go into any kind of seeking and/or knocking modes with Him to try and get Him to answer the prayer. Sometimes it will literally be that simple.
However, at other times you may ask God for something, but then you do not receive it. If God is not answering your prayer the first time around when you are pressing in and asking Him for something – I believe this verse is trying to tell us to do something else – and that something else is to consider trying one or two of the next two conditions – either seeking and/or knocking.
If you do not receive any type of an answer from the Lord on a specific prayer request you may have after asking Him several times, try considering going into either a seeking and/or knocking mode with Him to try and get Him to grant you the prayer request. Sometimes the answers to your prayers will only come if you start to do some type of seeking after them.
When I discuss each one of these conditions individually below, I will give you some very good examples of how sometimes you may have to add the seeking and/or knocking modes into your specific prayer requests to the Lord.
bd414780f0ed008db4d3b61a681fe2ff
Sometimes Christians walk away too soon from their prayer rooms with the Lord. They ask the Lord once or twice for whatever it is they are wanting from Him – and when He does not answer their prayer off their initial request, they walk away thinking that He does not want to answer their prayer – not realizing that maybe the Lord was really wanting to answer their prayer in the first place, but that He was wanting them to go into some kind of seeking and/or knocking mode to get Him to release it to them.
So the next time you approach the Lord in prayer for something very specific, make sure that you consider all three of these conditions – asking, seeking, and knocking.
Sometimes the Lord will answer your prayer just off the first condition – asking – and you will not have to go into any kind of seeking and/or knocking mode with Him to get Him to answer the prayer.
But then there will be other times that He will want you to go into some kind of seeking and/or knocking mode with Him before He will answer your prayer.
1. Asking
Psalm-51-asking-God-for-forgiveness
This first condition, asking, is without question, the easiest of them all. Sometimes all you have to do is ask the Lord once or twice for something that you are really wanting.
If the prayer request is in His perfect will for your life, then many of the time the Lord will answer your prayer simply off one or two prayer requests and that will be it. You will not have to get all worked up into any kind of major prevailing or travailing with Him. Just once or twice at the prayer altar will do it.
However, as simple as this basic principle is for many Christians to fully understand, there still are many Christians who are violating this basic simple principle with the Lord.
This revelation that we are receiving from the Lord is another one that has two sides to it. Again, it is like looking at a two sided coin. On the one side of the coin is “asking.” Simply ask the Lord for whatever it is you are needing or wanting, and He will grant the prayer request as long as the request is in His will for your life.
But the other side of the coin is that sometimes the Lord will not bring a desire or request that you may have – all because you have failed to ask Him for it in the first place. Here is the verse from our Bible that gives us the flip side to this revelation:
“Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.” (James 4:2)
This verse is giving us two major revelations. The first revelation is that sometimes you do not receive something from God simply because you did not ask Him for it. You either simply forgot to ask Him for it, or you chose, for whatever your personal reasons may have been at the time, not to ask Him for it.
As a result, your request and desire is never brought your way because God was the only One that could have brought it to you in the first place – and you chose not to get the ball rolling with Him by asking Him to bring it to you.
The second piece of revelation that is coming off this verse is that maybe you have presented your prayer request before God, but this request was not in God’s perfect will for your life. You may be wanting something for the wrong reason or the wrong motive, like the last part of this verse is implying when it says that the prayer request might be for your own selfish and worldly pleasures.
This verse is telling us that when we do this, we are asking “amiss.” According to some of the different Bible Dictionaries, the word “amiss”means we are asking for something “wrongly” or “mistakenly.”
This is why all of your prayer requests have always got to line up with the perfect will of God for your life. As I have stated in my article, “Prayer Secret #2 – The Will of God,” God always knows what is best for you in all situations.
And sometimes God will choose not to answer a specific prayer request you may have because it may not be in your best interests – even though you may not be able to see it at the time that you are asking Him for it.
But now back to the first part of the revelation in the above verse where sometimes we do not receive something from God because we have never asked Him for it. This now becomes the flip side to this same coin.
Again, on the one side of the coin is receiving something from the Lord because we have officially asked Him for it. But now the other side to that same coin is that we may not have received something from the Lord simply because we did not officially ask Him for it.
As simple as this basic principle is to fully grasp and understand by everyone, it really is quite amazing how many Christians are not getting many of their basic needs, wants, and desires met because they simply forgot to ask God to help them receive the desire in the first place.
Here are several good examples to illustrate all of this:
A)  There are many single Christians who are out looking for their true soulmates. But instead of going direct to God the Father and asking Him to lead them to the person of His choice, they are trying to find their true soulmate all on their own efforts and wisdom.
As a result, they either end up never finding their true soulmate in this life, or they end up marrying the wrong person. They are then forced to live the rest of their earthly lives in a miserable and unhappy marriage, or they end up marrying and divorcing several times throughout their lives, never finding that one true love that God already had in store for them had they simply asked Him for His opinion on the matter in the first place.
I literally cannot even begin to count the number of Christians I have personally met who have never thought to ask God for His opinion on who they should be marrying in this life, and then asking Him to lead them to the person of His choice.
As a result, many of these people have either gone through multiple divorces, or they have never married as a result of never finding that one true love.
Trying to find your true God-mate in this life without any of God’s help or guidance is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. In other words, you will never find the one person you were meant to be with unless you first start out by asking God to lead you to that person in the first place.
Not only is God the only One who knows who this person is that would be the most suitable and compatible for you in this life, but He is the only One that can actually lead you to where this person is located.
But yet so many Christians think they know better than God who they should be marrying in this life, and as a result, they all end up marrying the wrong people and they then end up going from one broken marriage to another trying to find that right person for them.
And all of these sad tragedies end up occurring because they all simply forgot to do one, little, simple thing – they forgot to turn the entire matter over to God and ask Him to lead them to the mate that He would’ve had in store for them.
B)  Another area where many Christians get themselves in trouble with the Lord in learning how to ask Him for different things is that after a certain amount of time, they will start to want to try and do everything on their own – without any of God’s help or guidance.
Instead of remaining humble and accountable to the Lord in their own personal walks with Him, they now want the challenge of trying to accomplish everything all on their own efforts and wisdom.
Pride has now entered into their big picture, and they now no longer need God or any of His help to get through this life in one piece. They are now deciding who they should be marrying in this life, what kind of jobs they should be taking, and what kinds of goals and aspirations they should be striving after in this life. As a result, they no longer ask God for anything and their prayer life then gets completely shut down with Him.
And then sooner or later, it eventually happens. They end up getting half way up the mountain they are attempting to climb all on their own efforts, and then they fall, literally losing everything they had built up for themselves. They end up falling from what they thought was the top of their personal mountain down to the very bottom of it, literally losing everything they had worked so hard to build up.
They end up losing their marriages, their jobs, their careers, many of their so called friends, and much of the money and wealth they had acquired.
And again, all of this occurs because they simply forgot to turn the reigns of their life over to God for Him to fully handle, and then to ask God to lead them into the specific areas that He was wanting them to move in.
Again, God knows best as to who you should be marrying in this life, what jobs you should be taking, and what careers or vocations you should be entering into.
And again – all of this can be given to you free of charge direct from God Himself if you will simply enter into this full surrender with Him, and then ask Him to take complete control of your life and the direction it will now be heading. As the very first verse I have listed at the top of this article says, simply ask and you shall receive. However, if you do not ask, you will not receive. Sometimes it really is that simple.
All we have to do is be willing to stay in this full surrender with the Lord, stay humble and accountable in our walk with Him, and never forget that we will need His help and guidance on a daily basis to make it into the specific areas that He will want us to move into in this life.
2. Seeking
what-is-faith_833_460_80_c1
If at first you have no success with the Lord in asking Him for something specific, then strongly consider going into some kind of seeking mode with Him to see if that will be what will get Him to answer your prayer.
Notice in the verse at the top of this article that if you seek, then you will “find.” One of the ways God may actually want to answer one of your prayers is by leading you into finding it – and the only way you will be able to find it is by being willing to go into some kind of seeking mode to find it.
Here are a few examples:
A)  Say you have just lost your job. Your first step will be to go to God in prayer and ask Him to lead you to the next new job that He will want you to be working in.
After you put the request before Him, God will now tell you to do one or two things. He will either tell you to just sit and wait, hold your position, and He will now bring the next job to you at the time that He has it set up to come into your life – or He will tell you to start going into a seeking mode to try and find that next new job.
If God tells you that He wants you to go into a seeking mode to try and find this next new job, then this means you will now have to start knocking on doors and going on interviews. You may have to go on 7 or 8 interviews before you finally land the job He will want you to have. God will make sure that you land at the right spot at the right time.
In other words, He will lead you to the next new job as you are seeking after it, and He will make sure that you find it right at the time that He has it set up to manifest in your life.
If God already knows where your next new job is going to be, why would He want you going through 7 or 8 interviews before you actually find it? I believe there are two main reasons for this.
The first reason is that He may simply want you to go into a seeking mode in order to show Him that you are willing to expend some time and energy in order to try and find it. Many of the times, the Lord does not always want to give you a free lunch. There are times that you will have to work, sweat, and seek for whatever it is God is wanting to bring your way.
And one of the ways that He will do this is by throwing you into some kind of seeking mode to try and find whatever it is that He is wanting to bring your way. There is a price to pay for everything, and sometimes that price is paid in the actual seeking of it.
The second reason God may want to throw you into a seeking mode where you have to go on several interviews is because He may want you to get your communication skills sharpened up before you walk into the door that will be your next new job.
By going on all of these different interviews, you will become much more skilled with the interview process, and this may end up being what will cause you to get the job that He will really want you to have. But if you have not been willing to sharpen up your interview skills by going on all of these different job interviews, then you may not have the right stuff to convince your new boss that you are going to be the right man for the job.
God always has His personal reasons for everything that He will do in your life. Be guided by the Holy Spirit as to what kinds of chess moves God will want to make with your life.
B)  Another area where you may have to go into some kind of seeking mode in order to try and find it, is once again, the search for a soulmate.
Say you are 22 years old. You have just asked God to lead you to the soulmate of His choice, not your choice. You are now willing to be fully guided by the Holy Spirit to try and find this person. You have now fully committed this request into the hands of God the Father, and you will now let Him make the call as to who you should be marrying in this life.
Once you do this, God will now have you take one of two approaches. He may simply tell you to wait, hold your position, and that you do not need to be dating or getting entangled with anyone else in a dating relationship, and that He will lead you to this person at the time that He has it set up to occur. Or He could possibly have you go into some kind of seeking mode to find this person.
If you are 22 years old, and God has it set up for you to meet this person 10 years later when you turn 32, you will now have 10 years to wait before you will actually meet this person. During those 10 years that you are now waiting for all of this to happen, God may want you to actually date a few people.
One of the main reasons God may want you to date a few other people before you meet the person He will want you to marry in this life, is that you may need to grow and mature in how you relate to others in a romantic type relationship.
You may need to learn a few things. You may need a few rough edges in your personality smoothed out and cleaned up before He finally matches you up with the person of His choice for your life.
When you go into this type of seeking mode with the Lord, you will never know where, when, or how you will meet your true God-mate. God has now thrown you into an official seeking mode, and all you know is that you will find this person at the prescribed time that God has it set up to occur as you are seeking after them.
But if you are not willing to go into a seeking mode to try and find this person – then you may never get this prayer request answered by God after you put the initial request on His altar.
This lack of being willing to go into a proper seeking mode with the Lord is what is causing many Christians to miss out on some of the bigger and better blessings that God would have had in store for them in this life.
This is why I believe that the Lord has put both the “seeking modes” and “knocking modes” all together in the verse at the top of this article right next to the “asking mode.” Sometimes you will have to be willing to ask, seek, and knock before God will move to fully answer your prayer.
So the next time you have a major prayer request to put before the Lord, examine and analyze, and try to pick up from the Holy Spirit as best you can, whether or not you will need to go into any kind of seeking mode with God in order to try and get Him to want to answer your specific prayer request.
3. Knocking
images.jpeg
The last and final principle in the above verse is the “knocking mode.” I believe the knocking mode is another higher level of intensity in this prayer secret.
The word “knock” in one of my Bible dictionaries means to “rap on a door.” And the above verse is definitely implying knocking on a door when it says that if you knock, then it will be “opened” to you.
When you knock on a door, look very closely as to what happens. Next time you knock on someone’s door, watch how many times you naturally and instinctively want to knock. You will naturally want to knock at least two to four times. You will not knock just one time. Try knocking just one time and see how unnatural it feels.
Knocking thus means that you are asking, and possibly seeking more than one time for whatever it is that you are asking God for.
The two examples I gave above about going on several interviews in order to try and find God’s next job for you, or being willing to date several other people before God leads you to the mate of His choice, are two perfect examples of putting this knocking principle into full operation.
Sometimes not only will God have you go into some kind of seeking mode before He will grant your prayer request, but He may also have you go into a full scale knocking mode where you are seeking more than one time in a certain direction. In other words, you may have to try something more than one time before God will answer the prayer.
So how do you know which of these three modes to go into when you decide to approach God the Father with a specific prayer request?
For those of you who have established a good inside connection to the Holy Spirit, many of the times you can pick it up directly from Him as to which of the three modes you will need to go into on a specific prayer request to the Lord.
Sometimes you will be able to read and pick it up from Him that all you will need to do is ask God one or more times, and you will not need to go into any kind of seeking and/or knocking mode to get God to answer your prayer.
However, there will be other times that you will feel led to go into a seeking mode with God before He will grant the answer to your prayer.
And not only will the Holy Spirit help to let you know when you will need to go into some kind of seeking mode with God, but He will also help guide and direct you once you go into that seeking mode so you can learn everything that God will want teach you, and then eventually get to where God wants to lead you to before He will be willing to grant the prayer request.
In other words, if God wants you to go into some kind of dating mode before He brings your true soulmate to you, then the Holy Spirit will let you know which people God will want you to date so you can then learn everything that God will want to teach you before it is His time to match you up with His very best for your life.
For those of you who have yet to establish this kind of good inner connection with the Holy Spirit, just simply ask God, if He has not already answered your prayer request within a certain amount of time, if you need to go into any kind of seeking and/or knocking mode with Him before He will grant your prayer request.
If you ask God with a sincere heart, He will let you know loud and clear as to whether or not you will need to only go in one of these modes with Him, in any two of these modes, or possibly in all three of these modes with Him.
This ask-seek-knock verse is another powerful piece of revelation being given to us by our Lord. In this revelation are three, powerful, key principles for us to fully incorporate into our personal prayer life with the Lord.
I believe these three powerful principles are giving us a major secret on how we are to approach God the Father in our own personal prayer life with Him.
Prayer And Fasting To Build Trump’s Wall For America
The body of Christ, The bride Of Christ, the saints and warriors on earth together with most of God’s army in Heaven and His saints, has been decreeing, declaring and interceding that the wall must be built to protect God’s Will, plans for America and His person.
Under intense pressure from during decades of significant social, cultural and technological change. It is not too dramatic to suggest that many of our communities, traditions and structures have been deeply and detrimentally impacted, if not completely broken by the drenched of pure evil. Yet, as with the lion Aslan, in C. S. Lewis’s Narnia series, ‘God is on the move’.
God is calling us to renewed hope and confidence in his mission and purpose; calling us, if you will, out of the seemingly frozen wastes of winter, into a new season of expectation of all that God is doing, in and through our America. This is a time for prayer and for rediscovering our voice of authority, testimony and hope in the unconquerable,
steadfast and persistent purposes of God to redeem and renew all humanity. It is a time for us to say, in response to Nehemiah’s call,
‘Let us start rebuilding’ (Nehemiah 2:18).
download.jpeg
God’s word to Solomon at the dedication of Jerusalem’s first Temple remains true for us: ‘If
my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land’ (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Nehemiah is a story of God for our time. The period of Israel’s history known as the Exile, when the nation was defeated and all its leaders and influencers were carried off into captivity in another land, turned out to be the most creative flowering of its spiritual life. Deep questions are asked, leading to renewed hope and confidence in God and God’s
unshakeable covenant loyalty and love. People like Nehemiah answered the call and ‘stood in the gap’ for God’s people. His response to the ‘disgrace’ of Jerusalem’s decay remains a model of prayer and action for a time like ours, as he drew people together in prayer, fasting and rebuilding. Together, they rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem in 52 days. Isaiah’s prophecy during the Exile remains true for us: ‘They
will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for
generations’ (Isaiah 61:4).
Let us pray;
Penitence (Nehemiah 1:1-11)
The personal impact that the news about Jerusalem’s ‘disgrace’ has upon Nehemiah is striking, even though he is distant from the
reality, surrounded by wealth and privilege and that is exactly the same President is being moved with strong convictions about his America. It is a personal tragedy that moves him (Nehemiah) to tears, to prayer and fasting. It compels him to his knees before the God of Heaven. Although many others have been
disobedient, it is his sin to confess! He cannot put the blame elsewhere. Furthermore, Nehemiah recognises the character of God
as a God of loyal, covenanted love and mercy, who delights in receiving and honouring
those who put their hope and confidence in him. Lord, annoint your warriors with the Nehemiah’s anointing to stand and build in prayer to back up Your chosen President Trump in the name of Jesus.  Amen.
Peace-through-Repentance-300x240.jpeg
As you begin your prayer and fasting, how in
particular is God asking you to be penitent? What hope is God putting in your heart regarding how things could be different if you
only trust God and act accordingly?
1. Broken Walls (verse 3)
‘The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates have been burned with fire.’
In Nehemiah’s time, a city without walls or gates was the ultimate sign of helplessness and the same with America in our time.
Father God, as we begin this prayer, we confess our need of you, and our helplessness without you and America hangs on the thread of hope for your rescue. Forgive our sins and that of America and have mercy on us in Jesus name.
2. Grief and Desperation (verse 4)
‘When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven.’
Pray and ask God to baptised you afresh with Holy Spirit and grant you travailing prayer and the grace to weep and groan deeply for the sins so despicable in America, the world and our own lives.
3. God’s Covenant Love (verse 5)
‘Lord, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his
commandments…’
In the midst of our grief and helplessness, we come to You our God who is loving and faithful beyond measure. We thank You so greatly today for more mercy, more grace and more time You continue to grant us and
remember the promises You have made to America and the prayers You have answered in Jesus name.
4. Lamentation (verse 6)
‘I confess the sins we Israelites, including myself and my father’s family, have committed against you.’
Repentance starts when we dare to share God’s sadness. Ask God to show you the nation of America through His eyes – what brings him
the greatest pain? Let your prayer today be a lament for the things he shows you and weep with Him, ask for more mercy for all men and America.
5. Confession (verse 7)
‘We have acted very wickedly towards you. We have not obeyed the commands, decrees and laws you gave your servant Moses.’
Repentance is being specific about sin and asking forgiveness. Today write it out as a prayer, naming the sins God showed you, and asking his forgiveness.
6. Petition (verse 11)
‘Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name.’
Repentance moves into petition, as we admit our inability to set things right without God’s help. Pray, and ask God to begin a new work of renewal in The Trump administration and the President himself and in the entire nation of America.
Pray America Back To God
When Jesus teaches us to pray to our heavenly Father, ‘Your will be done’, he reminds us that our authority comes from asking for God’s purposes to be fulfilled. This means that there are smaller authorities in the world that must
bend their wills to the will of God. Some of these authorities are actively opposed to God’s
purposes, and we must be assured of God’s protection. Nehemiah was a practical man
of prayer, as well as a faithful and humble servant of God. He understood ultimately whose authority he was under, and whose earthly co-operation he needed to ask for. It was important for him to have a clear grasp of
what he needed, and he did that by asking the right questions about his situation. Jesus encouraged us to ask practically for our real needs and the needs of others. He taught us
to say, ‘Give us today our daily bread’, a request that extends beyond the simple basics of our daily food to the many practical details of our lives and our faithful service.
ca526fb661f9e325c5b3590a6e1c3108--ten-commandments-morals
What is the America you see as you pray? Be practical and specific, and declare it being, bearing in mind whose authority and protection you are under.
7. What do we want? (verse 4)
‘The king said to me, “What is it you want?”’
The king’s question moves Nehemiah from grieving to dreaming.
We need to acknowledge loss, failure and brokenness of our children being trafficked, our babies aborted, but it is just as important to have a vision of hope for the future. As you pray today, spend some time dreaming. Ask Godbto show you the America He has in mind for restoration and stick with that vision. Thinking back to the repentance, what do you long to see change? What might a renewed
America and the world look like? Pray to bring that on earth as God shows you it is in Heaven in Jesus name.
8. Whose authority do we need? (verses 4-5)
‘Then I prayed to the God of heaven, and I answered the king, “If it pleases the king… let him send me to the city… so that I can rebuild it.”’
Nehemiah has a plan, but first he shoots off an ‘arrow prayer’ to the one who holds all power and authority. As you go about your day,
practise arrow prayers. Pray that Holy Spirit will teach Trump and all leaders who revere God each time they start a new task to stop and pray for a minute, offering every work to God and asking him to use it to build his Kingdom and rebuild America.
9. What protection do we need? (verse 7)
‘“If it pleases the king, may I have letters to the governors… so that they will provide me safe-conduct until I arrive in Judah?”’
Nehemiah’s plan is bold and risky, and he is wise enough to seek the appropriate protection before setting out. Pray today for Trump for divine protection from the deep state and evil cabal who seeks to assainate him risk his life to build God’s Kingdom and his nation. Pray for
protection from discouragement, fear, resistance and opposition.
10. What provision do we need? (verse 8)
‘“And may I have a letter to Asaph, keeper of the royal park, so he will give me timber to make beams for the gates of the citadel…”’
Nehemiah has an ambitious dream, but he also has a practical mind. He has worked out exactly what he will need, and makes sure he asks for it. Pray that God gtants Trump every resources he needs to secure the border wall.
Awaken The Church In America
Nehemiah clearly demonstrates this process, both in his personal relationship with God and in his corporate life, both as a member of the King’s household and as a member of the people of Israel. It is not sufficient for his life of faith to be only a personal and private concern. It involves open, transparent and mutual accountability with others. One of the ancient, prayerful practices is that of the Examen, which involves taking time to daily detect God’s presence with us, and God’s direction for us. This insight is so much stronger when, with other believers, we find
agreement and we make ourselves
accountable to each other. Such agreement will involve mutual encouragement, challenge and correction.
11. Truth in our Hearts (verse 12)
‘I had not told anyone what my God had put in my heart to do for Jerusalem.’
It took thousands to rebuild Jerusalem. Nehemiah had just one part to do. God’s work of renewal and rebirth of America will involve thousands of people, but be encouraged that you have a special place on the taskforce. There are prayers in your heart that no one else has ever prayed. Pray for those God has called to restore America including prayer warriors, Trump, his family and administration that we will all take up this task with diligence and faithfulness to God’s agenda on earth in Jesus name.
12. Courageous Examination (verse 13)
‘By night I went out… examining the walls of Jerusalem, which had been broken down, and its gates, which had been destroyed by fire.’
Pray for the ressurection power of God to revive America from moral decay, spiritual deadness, division, godless and annihilation of babies. Pray for God to rescue America and the leaders from pitch darkness.
13. Facing the Blockages (verse 14)
‘Then I moved on towards the Fountain Gate and the King’s Pool, but there was not enough room for my mount to get through.’
The wall of Jerusalem used to be an impressive feat of engineering. Pray that every arrows of darkness, arrows of resistance, arrows of opposition to build the wall in America backfires and strike the hearts of your senders in Jesus name
Day 14 – Vision Agreed (verses 17-18)
‘“Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace”… They replied, “Let us start rebuilding.”’
Pray that God will grant all builders of the America God sees a vision He gave to the fotefathers when the nation was born and restore the recipes of making great again in godliness and spiritually in right standing with God in Jesus name.
15. The Reality of God’s Presence (verse 18)
‘I also told them about the gracious hand of my God on me and what the king had said to me.’
Give thanks for prayers God has answered in your prayer over America and that His presence is still with the nation and its people in their darkest hour. That His heart is for America and longs to restore them just like Nineveh.
16. The Reality of the Opposition (verse 19)
‘But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite official and Geshem the Arab heard about it, they mocked and ridiculed us.’
When God’s Spirit begins a work of renewal and rebuilding, it is always
opposed. Pray for those you know who have tried to remove blockages so that God’s Kingdom may advance, but have come under spiritual attack. Pray against the democrat attempts, Washington evil leaders who want to block the wall being built. Pray against their opposition against God’s will.
17. The Promise of Victory (verse 20)
‘I answered them by saying, “The God of heaven will give us success.”’
Spiritual attack often feels like a heaviness, full of discouragement, intimidation or fatigue. So pray for new hope, courage and strength to fill Trump, his family and cabinet.
Building the Wall Together (Nehemiah 3:1-32)
We are the body of Christ. The Holy Spirit’s life in us deepens our unity and love for each other, as we seek to mirror to the world the generous and sacrificial unity and love of God as Father, Son and Spirit. Nehemiah understands the powerful dynamic of God’s people working and praying together. As in the body of Christ, every person has their station along the wall. A range of different communities, including families, neighbours,
professional groups and faith communities, build each section of the wall. There is so much strength for God’s people when they ‘live together in unity’ (Psalm 133), supporting,
serving, challenging, praying, encouraging
and building up the body of Christ, just as Nehemiah’s team built up the wall. So arise warriors all over the world and together with Trump build the wall through our intercession and working with Heaven.
18. The Priesthood of All Believers (verses 1-2)
‘Eliashib the high priest and his fellow priests went to work and rebuilt the Sheep Gate… The men of Jericho built the adjoining section, and Zakkur son of Imri built next to them…’
Give thanks today for your co-builders: the friends God has put alongside you, to build his Kingdom with. Pray for each one by name,
thanking God for them, and praying strength and protection for them. Pray for all who are called to intercede for Trump and America, all prayer warriors.
Day 19 – Those who aren’t Ready (verse 5)
‘The next section was repaired by the men of Tekoa, but their nobles would not put their shoulders to the work…’
Frustration is an exhausting distraction when you’re trying to build. Pray that God will grant Trump patience and humility to all those assigned to work with him for the construction of the wall. Pray that he will put his trust in God’s ability to get it built in Jesus name.
Day 20 – In our Workplaces (verse 8)
‘Uzziel son of Harhaiah, one of the goldsmiths, repaired the next section; and Hananiah, one of the perfume-makers, made repairs next to that.’
Do you ever slip into thinking the only worthwhile Kingdom-building you do is at church? God longs to see his people build for justice and hope in every area of society. Pray that pew warmers at church will be revived to build God’s Kingdom outside the four walls of their churches.
Day 21 – In our Neighbourhoods (verse 10)
‘Jedaiah son of Harumaph made repairs opposite his house.’
As we pray for renewal in America and even the church for a fresh passion for godliness  and prayer, we need to be the first to become the answer, right on our own doorsteps. Pray for spiritual awakening and compassion for those around who are deceived.
Day 22 – In our Families (verse 12)
‘Shallum son of Hallohesh, ruler of a half-district of Jerusalem, repaired the next section with the help of his daughters.’
Pray that the American public will be informed and educate beginning from the family in godliness, morality, truth and all that is good. Pray about your own family so they can join you in building through intercession.
Day 23 – With Regional Leaders (verse 15)
‘The Fountain Gate was repaired by Shallun son of Kol-Hezeh, ruler of the district of Mizpah.’
Nehemiah’s story is great inspiration for our days because it’s a reminder that we’re all building together, no matter what our role.
Today, pray that leaders in America will leave greediness, selfishness behind and work together for the love of their nation and their people.
The Bible says, “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us:” (Gal. 3: 13).
The problem you are facing right now may not be your own doing. It may be as a result of an evil inheritance which can be in the form of generational or genetic problems. The Bible says that the sin of the father will be visited on his children to the fourth generation and sometimes to the tenth generation. (Read Deuteronomy 5:9,10; Exodus 20:4-6.)
Sickness and genetic diseases can be inherited. A classic example was the
case of Gehazi, the servant of Elisha (2 Kings 5:27). Elisha cursed Gehazi saying,
“The leprosy of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed forever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.”
In Deuteronomy 28:15-68, there are 112 curses pronounced by God ranging
from sickness to poverty and captivity. These curses will come on a person as a
result of disobedience to God’s laws.
The good news is that Jesus has redeemed us, He died in our place, He
bought us with His precious blood. So these curses cannot affect us again. We need
to remove ourselves from every evil inheritance and confess with our mouths that
we belong to the family of God.
